Inside the House of Healing: A Modern Approach to Wellness

For founders Emma and Chad, wellness has always been personal. Raised with an active, outdoor lifestyle—surfing, swimming, hiking, and spending countless hours by the water—being healthy was simply a way of living. Over time, that foundation evolved into something deeper: a curiosity about how the body heals, how energy moves, and how spirituality and physical health are inseparable.

During the pandemic, their journeys intertwined in a more intentional way. As the world slowed down, they leaned into learning—about healing technologies, nervous system regulation, detoxification, and the spiritual dimension of wellbeing. What became clear was this: many wellness spaces focus on isolated outcomes—fitness, beauty, recovery—without honoring the whole human experience. House of Healing was born from the desire to change that.

At its core, House of Healing is a space to heal, learn, and connect.

Every element of the experience is designed with intention, from the therapies offered to the materials used throughout the space. Infrared sauna, cold plunge, and red light therapy are not treated as trends, but as tools—powerful ones—that work at the cellular level to support detoxification, recovery, energy, and longevity. These modalities are paired with education and one-on-one guidance, allowing clients to understand why they’re doing what they’re doing, not just move through a routine.

Chad’s role as a certified health optimization coach is central to this philosophy. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, sessions are tailored to each individual’s goals, lifestyle, and current state of health. Whether someone is focused on reducing inflammation, improving energy, managing stress, or simply creating a more intentional wellness rhythm, the experience is designed to meet them where they are.

Equally important is the environment itself. House of Healing was thoughtfully curated to feel calm, clean, and grounding. Organic cotton towels and robes, non-toxic cleaning products, HEPA air filtration, and reverse osmosis water systems aren’t add-ons—they’re baseline standards. The goal is to remove as much noise as possible, allowing clients to fully arrive in their bodies and the present moment.

But House of Healing extends beyond the therapies. It’s a place for community. A place where conversations happen naturally, where people connect over shared values or curiosity, and where education is just as important as experience. A reminder that wellness isn’t about extremes or perfection, but about presence.
